Sunday Service
On Sunday mornings, we gather for traditional worship in our Sanctuary. Communion is served monthly on the first Sunday. The liturgy incorporates the congregation in a variety of worshipful elements that invite all to have an authentic encounter with God through Jesus Christ. The service offers a healthy blend of older hymns while introducing some newer sacred music led by the Chancel Choir.
Your children are very welcome and are encouraged to participate in worship. There is a special message just for them during Children’s Time. We also provide “busy bags” just outside the south entrance to the Sanctuary with books, crayons and paper to keep your little ones occupied.
The Sanctuary is located at the north end of the church building with entrances nearby. Our parking lot is on the south side of the building with doors leading into the corridor that will take you directly to the service. This is an accessible entrance with accessible parking adjacent to it.
Our service is livestreamed through Facebook each week. facebook.com/fpcsalinaks
Wednesday's Mid-Week Manna
Midweek Manna is First Presbyterian’s response to the belief that worship can take many forms. Held weekly during the school year, this gathering makes it easy for everyone to have time together to worship in a much more casual setting. It combines a meal beginning at 5:15 p.m. with worship at 5:45 p.m. that includes prayer, an interactive message, Communion and the singing of new songs and old hymns led by our Midweek Manna musicians and singers. We strive to have everyone feel nourished in body and spirit as the service concludes by 6:15 p.m.
We enjoy worshipping with every generation together in one space, so there is no nursery for this service.
This service is held in the lower level of our church in Blair Hall.
We are always in need of volunteers to help with setup/cleanup of meals and communion preparation. If you are interested, please contact the church office. Click here to view the volunteer instructions.
