What to Expect
We know trying something new for the first time can be hard. Here are some things to know about this church to help you feel more at ease about visiting!
Where do I go and how do I get there? (Google Map)
We are located off of 9th Street, in between Mulberry and South Streets. Our sanctuary is on the North side of our building, and what we call our "Education Wing" is on the South end. Offices, classrooms and meeting rooms are located in the Education Wing. Beneath our sanctuary is Blair Hall, which is used for large, casual gatherings or seminars. Check with the office for a map of our building if you're more curious!
You may park on the street, or in our parking lot on the south side of our building. During the week, only the south doors remain unlocked.
What about opportunities to grow in faith? Connect with others?
We have many opportunities for children, youth and adults to grow, love and serve. We offer classes during the week and on Sundays. Check our calendar, "Ministries", or "Connect" pages to find something right for you!
Worship is central to the life and the hope of First Presbyterian Church. We believe we come to worship not just for ourselves, but for others. We worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.
Sundays @ 10:00 am:
Our worship style is traditional on Sunday mornings (please feel free to look through one of our bulletins under "Resources"), children are always welcome and may participate in worship during Children's Time. Outside the south entrance to the sanctuary are "busy bags" for children. You'll find books, crayons and paper to keep your little ones occupied. The nursery is available Sunday mornings from 9:45 am to 11:15 am for newborns to kindergarten age children.
How do I become a member?
To become a church member, leave a note on the Friendship Pad, contact the church office or speak with the pastor! We will arrange a time to meet with you to discuss your faith and what it means to be a Christian and a Presbyterian. You can also view the materials found by clicking here. During this meeting, if you feel you are called by God to join this congregation, the pastor will assist you in formally joining at the next Session meeting.
Do you still have questions? Please feel free to contact any of the staff listed under the "Contact Us" page!
